Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.

We recently finished our architecture degree and are now looking to build on what we’ve learned by further exploring the theories we engaged with during our studies.

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?

During our studies, we had the chance to engage with architecture from different perspectives and experiment with various design approaches. We enjoyed exploring the role that architecture can play in societal and cultural contexts and the possibilities that emerge from these influences. We are also deeply intrigued by the question of architecture’s relationship to nature.

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Architecture provides the opportunity to address contemporary issues and create environments that supports societal development.

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

Architecture competitions offer a great opportunity to experiment and grow. When we came across the Troll’s Tongue Observation Platform competition, we were excited to participate and explore the theme, along with the questions it raised for us.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

Architecture competitions provide the opportunity to gain experience. Even if you don’t win a competition, the projects can still be added to your portfolio, often involving design challenges that differ significantly from the daily projects in an office.
