Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been involved?
We are still learning architecture of various scales, and trying to do projects that can contribute to regional development. Based on this, we won the grand prize at the Korea Electronic Power Corporation new headquarter design project in Daegu,Korea and some regional competition.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
Architecture is a work that we can do personally with fun, and it's an effort that we have to make throughout our lives. We think it's a long and long fight, not a short-term outcome. The general individuals have a lot of curiosity about architecture due to lack of architectural knowledge, and architects should plan the space where we live based on their expertise and produce good results.
Why do you participate in architecture competitions?
Many international students participate for the BUILDNER’s architecture competition, and the panels and plans for the projects became so much inspiration to us. It has been very helpful for us to do the project and we have been interested in your competition for several years.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?
We believe that BUILDNER’s architecture competition is evaluated under fair and objective standard. Architecture students want their projects to be compared with other global student projects on an equal basis.
We think it's important for participants to show that they can choose this competition as a good criterion for their resumes, and we think it's very important that high-quality projects continue to be published over the Internet or social media. We were also attracted to it. Architecture students are simple. They want to create better projects and images that express projects, and BUILDNER’s competition can be a good opportunity.
