Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been involved?
NCKU is located in Tainan, Taiwan. Our school not only focuses on design but also expects us to integrate engineering, sustainability, and other aspects of architecture. This approach ensures that the results of our projects are not just fantasies, but something practical and applicable.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
For us, architecture is like storytelling, where we convey our emotions through an understanding of the local cultural context.
The significance of architecture in our society lies in its ability to address environmental and human issues while planning and designing spaces for human use in urban settings.
Why do you participate in architecture competitions?
We pursue the excitement of design, and architecture competitions are an avenue to fulfill our desires and share our passion with others.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?
It's not just about the competition itself. Architecture competitions provide a platform for all participants to exchange perspectives and ideas on how we approach the same topic.
