What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

To us Architecture represents a complex mixture of art and science. Architectural solutions go beyond solving functionality challenges, they can also engage in cultural identity and attitudes, aesthetic discourse and environmental strategies. Architects and designers are important figures in the creation and improvement of built environments, often transforming ideas into functional, visually pleasing designs while considering community needs, safety, sustainability and even affordability.

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

Our studio participates in competitions because they allow us to challenge ourselves and enhance our skills. They allow us to tackle unique design problems by experimenting with innovative solutions that explore unconventional ideas and push the boundaries of traditional design. Competitions also provide an opportunity for us to showcase our creativity and abilities. Winning or even participating can significantly boost our visibility and attract the attention of potential clients and future employees.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

Don’t hesitate! participate, commit and deliver. Even if you don’t win, the results can be incredibly rewarding and constructive for teams and individuals.
