Design a sustainable food court structure for the heart of a classical music festival

We’d like to take the opportunity to introduce you to the 2nd prize winners of our "Greening the Industrial City" competition – Adam Scott, Olivia Pinner, Andrew Gresset and Robin V Hueppe from United States!
2nd prize winners from United States
We gathered as a collective with a multi-disciplinary background in planning, landscape architecture, urban, and architectural design. We hold degrees, work in those fields and believe in the strength of complex design to address the multitude of challenges that cities like Houston are facing.
Any scope is possible. Depending on the nature of the project, someone in our collective takes the first steps and we then progress as a team. We have all been individually involved in a number of projects, both real and speculative, nationally and internationally. Greening the Industrial City is our first collaborative effort on a project.
Architecture is a transformative power of change. Because of that, it requires responsibility, mediated decisions, and a strong collective that understands the systemic implications of design.
It’s a necessary exercise, both internally and externally of the profession, for designers to participate in an imaginative disciplinary dialogue. Having the possibility of a platform to share our ideas with others is also a great additional opportunity.
Don’t do it for the prestige or money. Do it because you want to develop something that triggers imagination and that helps you and your collaborators find ways to engage with our multifaceted, ever-changing planet.
