We are all students studying architecture and design at Korea University in South Korea.
Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been involved?
The projects we have completed for the Design Studio in our school have typically centered around addressing urban challenges through architectural solutions. It has been an enjoyable experience to participate in the Children's Hospice project, which primarily emphasizes the interplay between the surrounding environment and the users.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
An architect serves as a problem solver throughout people's lives. Architecture is captivating because it is intricately connected to our daily lives.
Why do you participate in architecture competitions?
To enhance our abilities in architectural thinking and the design process, we aim to study the latest trends in architectural visualization.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?
I wholeheartedly believe that architecture competitions will propel us towards becoming professional designers and architects. Don't let fear hold you back and simply take the plunge!
