Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.

We have met at Warsaw University of Technology since we all study architecture. Through our mutual classes we discovered that we have similar approach to architecture and that we share the same values when it comes to our design philosophy.

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?

This is our first competition in this team, but we have had experience in previous group works where we got to know our personal strengths and abilities.

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Architecture as a embodiment of art and science, by its physical forms influences and shapes human emotions and interactions. It reflects in all cultural and social means within the local context. Sadly, in our society we notice vast shitf towards designing highly grossing spaces, without care for the quality of architecture. We think that architects should be more focused on re-adapting already existing spaces, rather then creating redundant ones.

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

We believe that participating in architecture competitions can develop our perception of spaces and sensitize us to the issues of the modern world. Moreover, we think that contact with people from all around the world can enrich our design experiences.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

Starting in any competition brings advantages - not necessarily awards, but self-development and new experience.
