Lamina is a tower structure set within an urban landscape that focuses on bringing in natural light and maximizing views. The design features layered, twisting floor plates, which create an engaging profile and enhance the relationship between the building and its environment. Functionally, it serves a mix of purposes, including recreational, office, and executive spaces, all above a large retail lobby. This combination supports interaction and connection in a busy city.

Design Concept
The main idea behind Lamina is its creative massing and layout. The building wraps around a central core, which gives it a unique shape that stands out from typical high-rises. This twisting form allows for the addition of sky patios, where users can enjoy significant views of the port and cityscape. The transparent base adds to the connection with the street, creating an easy flow between inside and outside spaces.

Spatial Organization
Inside, Lamina consists of three primary segments: the recreational block, the office block, and the executive block. Each section is designed to let in plenty of natural light and encourage interaction among users. The variety of spaces invites different activities, from casual visits to the sky garden to events in the multicultural center, which includes a gallery, museum, library, and conference area.

Public Connectivity
A key feature of Lamina is the raised, sloped walkway that connects the building to the waterfront. This design choice promotes easy access and encourages people to walk, helping the building fit smoothly into the urban area. The transparent base allows for clear sightlines and promotes a feeling of safety, making public areas welcoming and accessible.

Design Details
The project includes specific features such as executive parking, private balconies, and landscaped areas like an art garden and a Zen patio. At night, Lamina lights up in a way that highlights its design, creating a visible marker on the city’s waterfront. The interaction of light and form sets it apart in the urban background, emphasizing its thoughtful design.
