The project is an architectural design located on a hillside, emphasizing a robust integration of structure and landscape. Designed to function as a communal space for wellness activities, it includes features such as an aromatherapy garden, a kitchen garden, a meditation studio known as the mandala studio, and a gathering area referred to as the shala. These components are strategically placed to enhance user interaction with both the natural environment and each other.

Sustainable architecture serves as a central theme throughout the design. The building's form interacts with topography, reducing visual impact while maximizing views. It utilizes local materials, notably rammed earth for thermal insulation and structural integrity, coupled with timber sourced from sustainable forests. The flooring consists of Celt, a natural choice for durability and moisture resistance. Terracotta tiles adorn roofing and are featured as decorative elements, showcasing regional craftsmanship.

The architecture integrates innovative design approaches, particularly with its circular layout for the shala, which creates intimacy while allowing for flexible usage. The design promotes natural ventilation, minimizing reliance on mechanical systems. It also integrates solar panels into the structure to harness renewable energy, contributing to overall sustainability. Water conservation techniques are embedded in the landscape design, enhancing the project’s environmental responsibility.

The unique aspect of this design lies in its holistic approach to wellness. By combining natural elements with functional spaces, it fosters an environment conducive to meditation, communal gatherings, and connection with nature. The landscaping is carefully curated to include essential oil-bearing plants, supporting the aromatherapy component and enhancing sensory experiences. The pathways leading to the shala are designed to encourage exploration, guiding visitors through a series of outdoor experiences.

For those interested in understanding the intricacies of this project, a thorough review of the architectural plans, sections, and overall design principles is recommended. These elements will provide deeper insights into the architectural ideas that define this innovative communal space.
