MEMBOO is a meditation cabin located in a busy metropolitan area, designed to provide a quiet place for people seeking a break from daily life. The cabin focuses on creating both open and enclosed spaces, which help users engage in personal reflection while also connecting with nature. It addresses the important issue of mental wellness, serving as a peaceful retreat for those looking to meditate and relax.

Structural Design

The cabin is primarily made from bamboo sticks. This material offers strong support while bringing a natural feel to the structure. Bamboo not only looks good but is also lightweight, making it easy to move the cabin to different locations. This portability allows more people to benefit from the peaceful environment it offers.

Enclosure and Protection

The structure is protected by recycled wool and a waterproof membrane. These materials help it withstand various weather conditions, ensuring that users can enjoy their time inside, even when it rains. This thoughtful design keeps the interior comfortable and welcoming, allowing for uninterrupted relaxation.

Interior Layout

Inside, the cabin features wood panels along with tatami flooring. These elements create a cozy atmosphere that is familiar to those who practice meditation. The flooring feels nice underfoot, inviting users to sit and spend time within the calm environment.

Amenities

Practical features enhance the cabin's usability. A toilet at the back and a folding table for meditation tools like incense and mats are included. This attention to functionality supports users in their practice, making it easy for them to focus on their meditation without distraction.

The careful arrangement of these design elements results in a space that emphasizes simplicity and connection to the natural world. MEMBOO effectively aims to support mental well-being in an urban setting.
