Andre Halim from Indonesia
I am Indonesian designer, holds bachelor degree in Architecture, my experience is generally in the field of Architecture and Interior in Indonesia, I have worked since 2000. I have learned a lot about architecture and its relationship with the interior. For me, good architecture is that architecture can accommodate human activities properly and comfortably, thinking inside – out.
Beside working on individual project, I am also currently working in an architectural and interior consultant firm in Jakarta. I've recently been working on a middle scale public architectural project such as a religious church building including its interior as well. I also working on some middle scale private houses, it is an interesting experience could be delivered owner's expectations and seeing them happy living in their new environment.
For me architecture is the way of thinking. Architecture can provide input to the surrounding society with creative and humanistic thinking in solving natural and social problems through the form of artificial spaces.
In the competition we can explore our creative thinking with certain themes that are prepared, and also we can see the different approaches from other participants in solving the same problems. Enrich our insight.
Just jump in, don’t think too much, feel the adrenaline.
