“PRAKTIKA Architects” was founded in 2018 in Kyiv. We strived to create a better architectural environment than the one that exists. The focus of our attention has always been and remains particular people: a couple, a family or a community.

We are sure that architecture should forming around people and their needs. Our company includes 10 specialists, united by a common idea. Despite the difficulties and global challenges faced by our country in recent years, we continue to create and contribute to the development of Ukrainian architecture because we are sure that our future depends on our actions today

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been involved?

Our team are focused on a private scale of architecture. We make Houses. Therefore, we strive to take into account all the details and wishes of particular people

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Architecture is something more than me, or you. Architecture is not about the buildings. We think that architecture is about connections. In today`s world architecture is our natural environment

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

Competitions are a good challenge, not only for professional growth but also for personal development. They provide an opportunity to step away from routine and do something unusual. Additionally, it's a great way to learn something new about another country's culture and people.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

Participation in competitions is rarely convenient or profitable. But this is the best way to challenge yourself and look at what you are doing from the outside.
