Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.

I am an architect and designer based in Berlin. I run my own studio on a collaborative basis and am committed to a multidisciplinary approach, bringing together knowledge and expertise from different fields.

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?

Over the course of my professional practice, I have participated in a diverse range of projects. My experience includes the execution planning and realization of new apartment buildings, as well as the development of renovation strategies for existing structures. I design interiors and bespoke furniture, focusing on concept development, execution planning and construction supervision.

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

I see architecture as the art that serves a purpose through spatial organization and construction methods, shaped by building codes, culture, and political contexts. Architects act as mediators, bringing together various professionals and coordinating the realization of a shared vision.

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

I participate in competitions when the topics align with my experience, as this allows me to consolidate my knowledge into a single project.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

I would advise considering three components: time, interest, and returns.
