What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
Architecture, to us, is a powerful tool for storytelling, connecting people and places across time. It is about creating spaces that enhance cultural and social experiences while addressing the challenges of modern society. As architects, we believe our role is to be sensitive interpreters of the past while acting as visionary creators of the future, ensuring that our designs serve communities sustainably and inclusively.
Why do you participate in architecture competitions?
We participate in architecture competitions to challenge ourselves and grow as designers. Each competition offers a new perspective, encouraging us to develop innovative solutions and refine our architectural approach. We view every competition as a valuable opportunity to learn, collaborate, and contribute to our professional growth.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?
Always view competitions as a means of self-improvement. Winning is not the ultimate goal; the most important aspect is the knowledge and experience gained. Focus on developing your skills and broadening your architectural perspective, and you will find value in every challenge you undertake.
