Stephanie Deumer is a Canadian Visual Artist currently living and working in Los Angeles. Her multi-media installations highlight interrelations between different kinds of reproduction—including biological, visual, mechanical, and social. Deumer was a fellow at the Whitney Independent Study Program, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY. Her work has been featured in ArchDaily, Dezeen, World Architecture, The Art Newspaper, Time Out Riyadh, Palm Springs Life, and Creative Boom, among others. She has exhibited internationally in Canada, the United States, the UK, Ecuador, and Saudi Arabia. In 2022, Deumer participated in Desert X AlUla in Saudi Arabia, creating a solar-powered video installation that cultivated native plants. As part of her continued exploration of simulacra and immersive environments, the work brought to life the spectacle of biological reproduction through technological and visual means.
José Luis Pérez Hermo is a Senior Lead Architect at Coop Himmelb(l)au in Vienna, where he contributes to forward-thinking international projects that explore the boundaries of architecture, technology, and design innovation. With dual degrees in Architecture and Building Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia—where he graduated with distinction—he also completed advanced studies at ENS and ESITC in Paris. His work spans multidisciplinary projects, including Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, set to become the largest airport in the world with a projected capacity of over 260 million passengers annually. Specializing in BIM, computational design, and the integration of AI in the AEC sector, Pérez Hermo has been recognized for his pioneering contributions, including receiving First Prize as Emerging AI Designer from the platform Parametric Architecture, positioning him among a new generation of global design talent.
Bartosz Haduch is an architect, academic teacher, publicist, winner of numerous architecture competitions, awards, and scholarships. Following his studies and internships in Holland, Spain and Austria, he launched his own studio in Krakow, Poland. Since 2009, he has run the interdisciplinary collective NArchitekTURA, which combines urban planning with architecture, landscaping and design. In 2010, the Wallpaper* magazine named NArchitekTURA one of the world’s thirty most intriguing young studios. In 2021 The Great Synagogue Memorial Park in Oswiecim, designed by the practice, was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award.
Françoise N’Thépé runs Paris-based practice FRANÇOISE N’THÉPÉ ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN. Born in Douala, Cameroon, she obtained her Master of Architecture in Paris in 1999 and has been working as an architect for the last twenty years. With her well-established professional expertise and many years of experience, her work has been awarded with several prestigious prizes and distinctions.
Andreas Profanter graduated in architecture at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, and worked as an architect at various studios, including the studio of Arch. Renzo Gennaro in Bolzano and the studio of Arch. Edouard Francois in Paris. In 2013 he returned to Bolzano, where he started working at noa* network of architecture and moved on to become a partner in 2015. He is a member of the Order of Architects and Planners of Bolzano.
Nuno Pimenta runs a transdisciplinary practice in Porto, with a portfolio that spans temporary architecture, installation, public art, exhibition design and performance. His work focuses on the appropriation and subversion of common construction elements and techniques for the creation of social and political narratives.
Charles Tashima is Director at Studio Tashima in London. Studio Tashima is a London-based studio of architects and designers known for their intuitive and responsive architecture. Their signature is the resourceful adaptation of existing materials and structures, conjuring new uses and atmospheres rich in quality and experience. Seeing their designs as just one of the many phases in a building's life, the studio’s concept of ‘a living architecture’ reflects a deep appreciation for the built and natural environments while bringing something new. Born in New York City, Charles Tashima studied at Wesleyan University in Connecticut and Harvard University GSD. Upon graduating with the thesis prize in 1991, he received a Kennedy Travelling Fellowship to follow LeCobusier’s ‘grand tour’ of 1911. Here, he focussed on the study of vernacular architecture and materials through Eastern Europe, Turkey and Greece. Charles’ collaborative approach has come from his extensive experience teaching design internationally. He began at the ETH-Zurich, while working in the practice of Meili Peter Architekten. Since then he has been a visiting critic at a number of schools, taught at the EPFL-Lausanne as well as The Architectural Association, London, where he was a tutor and Academic Head for nearly 15 years. While teaching, he founded his practice, Studio Tashima in 1999.
Yunchao Xu, the lead architect of Atelier Apeiron, is a RIBA Chartered Member and an AIA Associate Member. He earned his Master of Science in Advanced Architecture Design from Columbia University in 2007. Before founding Atelier Apeiron, Xu worked at OMA Rotterdam and Rafael Viñoly Architects, contributing to projects like Qatar Education City and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. In 2017, Xu developed the design philosophy "Apeironology of Architecture," which has become central to his work. His notable projects include the Hengqin Culture & Art Complex, Promotion Center of High Tech Park in Baoding, Gree Global Center, Kindergarten of Museum Forest, Jinjiang Campus of Fuzhou University, Fashion School of Xiamen Polytechnic University, Tongxin Foreign Language School, Lotus Terrace Kindergarten, Minzhi School in Shenzhen, Waterfront Library with Red Brick and White Stone, Red Brick Learning Center, Bamboo Resort Rising from a Paddy Field, Cusha Village Community Center, Small Hill Kindergarten, and The Garden of Forking Paths. Xu and Atelier Apeiron have received various architectural awards, including Best Public Projects Firm of the Year in the Architizer A+Awards 2022 Special Mention, Emerging Architecture Studio of the Year in the Dezeen Awards 2022 Longlist, Rising Star/Emerging Practice of the Year in the WAN Awards 2020 Finalist, as well as awards from the International Architecture Awards, Architecture Masterprize, World Architecture Festival Awards, The Plan Award, German Design Awards, Blueprint Awards, LEAF Awards, AR MIPIM Future Projects Awards, Muse Design Awards, LIV Hospitality Design Awards, and NEW YORK Design Awards. In 2022, l'Arca International Monographs published a monograph titled "Apeironology of Architecture" (No.10) about Xu's work. In 2020, Xu's works were exhibited in "The City and the World" by the Chicago Athenaeum and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. His projects have also been featured on ArchDaily, Architizer, World Architecture News, Global Design News, Archiposition, The Plan, and IBS AEC.
