Joana Astolfi is an artist, architect and designer, and leads Studio Astolfi in Lisbon. Studio Astolfi is a team of artists, architects, and technicians. It has created projects for Hermès, Belcanto, Bairro do Avillez, Claus Porto, São Lourenço do Barrocal, A Padaria Portuguesa, among others.

Diogo Burnay is co-founding partner of Lisbon-based CVDB arquitectos and chief curator of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale 2022. He is also associated professor and director of the School of Architecture at Dalhousie University, Canada.

Tiago Krusse is a professional journalist with more than 22 years of experience writing about design, architecture and art. He is Manager of the K Innovative Diffuser a digital media group that holds the publications Design Magazine, Design Magazine Brasil and architectura MAGAZINE.

Catarina Ribeiro and Vitório Leite are founders of merooficina, a Porto-based office. Merooficina realizes projects as participatory and pragmatic processes, seeking to program ways of life and allow new appropriations. Its first project, a self-proposed commission for the shared work place ‘Oficina Comum’ was awarded an honorable mention in the João de Almada awards. The office has been involved in projects of diverse scales and programs, distinguished with first place awards for the ideas competition for an urban plan to regenerate the city of Vila Real and a competition to rehabilitate ilha das Antas, a small workers neighborhood in Porto. Merooficina’s work will be represented at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia.

Sean Shen, Xuanru Chen and Yu-Ying Tsai are lead architects at Shanghai-based ZJJZ Atelier. ZJJZ’s projects have garnered numerous recognition, such as its Woodhouse Hotel being listed as one of the top 10 Chinese architecture projects by Dezeen in 2019.

Magic Kwan and Kenrick Wong run OOA - Orient Occident Atelier, a Cambodian architectural studio which focuses on discovering, researching and utilizing the interdependence of “objects” and connections with surrounding space as design inspirations.

Lera Samovich is an architect at Fala Atelier in Porto, Portugal. She studied architecture at Moscow Institute of Architecture and Moscow Architecture School. Previously she collaborated professionally with Bureau Alexander Brodsky, Asse Architects and Nowadays Office in Moscow.

Wayne Turett is Founder and Principal of The Turett Collaborative, a New York City-based architecture and interior design firm. Turett has degrees in Architecture from the University of Illinois and Pratt Institute, and studied for a year at UP-3 in Versailles, France. Turett has lived and worked in TriBeCa for more than thirty years. His local ties have naturally led to a special expertise in working with – and a special regard for – community and preservation groups. A significant portion of his built work is in the immediate area where he has developed long-term relationships with clients, craftspeople and neighbors. TTC’s portfolio includes a carbon-neutral Passive House on Long Island, and the firm is a proponent of the Passive House movement, seeking to minimize carbon emissions in the construction and life cycle of the firm’s projects.

The Monte d'Oiro Wine Hotel competition is part of Buildner’ Portugal design series. This is the second competition organized in collaboration with Quinta Do Monte D’Oiro, a family vineyard located in the Lisbon region. The competition seeks design proposals for an extension to the vineyard complex in the form of a hotel to accommodate visitors.
