I am a prospective third-year undergraduate student majoring in architecture at the University of Virginia, U.S.
Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been involved?
At School of Architecture we focus on relative small scale design project during the previous 3 years, and have chance to try urban scale project in the 4th year.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
For me, architecture is my interest as well as a way of thinking. In my society, architects help to improve people's living quality, preserve cultural heritage, and propose sustainable future by designing projects under definite conditions.
Why do you participate in architecture competitions?
I think architecture competitions provide chance for me to explore new things and challenge myself.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?
I think they could regard competitions as chances to explore their potential.
