We are students at Warsaw University of Technology, and we have just completed our third year.

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been involved?

At our university, we study design at various scales. We are proficient in urban design and systemic solutions, and we believe that the design skills we acquire in these areas will be crucial for improving, enhancing, and shaping the structures in our surrounding reality. That's why in our project, we address both the challenges of a small architectural scale of 25m2 and the issues related to larger sets of Polish apartment blocks from the era of large-plate construction.

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Architecture, for us, is a form of expression on a grand scale. And it goes beyond simple construction of buildings ; it's about crafting spaces and structures that not only serve utilitarian purposes but also elicit emotions, tell stories, and embody the culture and values of a society. The role of an architect is, in our opinion, solving spatial problems by combining his knowledge from various fields like sociology, ecology, history and several more

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

Architectural competitions allow us to challenge ourselves with diverse design approaches. They also provide an opportunity to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world practice. Overall, this creates an exciting environment for us to experiment and explore unconventional ideas, which we truly enjoy.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

Participating in architectural contests gives you a platform for a professional and personal improvement. Architectural competitions can be a great way to advance your career and have a good influence on the field of architecture, whether you're a student looking to get experience or an established architect looking to exhibit your talents.
