Design a sustainable food court structure for the heart of a classical music festival

We’d like to take the opportunity to introduce you to one of our Honorable mention winners for our "MICROHOME/ Edition 3 (2021)" competition – Eric Bell and Diego Bazzani from United States!
Honorable mention winners from United States
We are students at Clemson University’s Master of Architecture program in the United States and are set to graduate in May of 2022.
Our primary focuses involve exploring solutions to the American housing crisis, as well as the impact of the climate crisis on vulnerable communities. Our academic and professional work has focused on contemporary construction assemblies and how design can be used to create more equitable and sustainable communities.
For us, architecture is about learning how to critically analyze complex problems in order to deliver simple and effective solutions. Architects must be conscious of issues that affect every level of the population and incorporate creative strategies to create a better quality of life.
We participate in architecture competitions to consider how design can resolve social issues the world over. We participate in architecture competitions to exercise a creative freedom through which we can gain a better understanding of contemporary issues that the profession must deal with.
We would advise individuals to find projects that feature a premise they are passionate about and explore avenues within their projects that allow them to develop those passions further. At the end of the day, it’s less about creating a winning project and more about creating a project that they are proud of.
