We are architectural master's degree students at UNSW in Sydney, Australia. We are all keen to develop the connection between the emotional and rational aspect of architecture. We believe that the nature of architecture is about human experience and atmosphere.
Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been involved?
We focus on developing the idea that architecture and architects represent the social agency.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
Architecture is a concretization of memory, history, and emotion; It should be the background of life. That is, architecture will become a container for fragments of daily life, and then, emotion will flow in between architecture and its occupants.
Why do you participate in architecture competitions?
We love to challenge ourselves and to test our ideas in the global context.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?
It is a great opportunity to work as a group and test your ideas in different contexts and cultural backgrounds. Competitions will have fewer limitations for participants to test their concepts and ideas.
