What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

I believe that the architectural profession is an aesthetic calculation of what we include inside and leave out, for a specific purpose. An architectural design is completed when we can decide on the last thing that is added to it and the last thing that will be removed from it. The architect should make moral, wise and courageous propositions that do not contradict nature, regardless of the artificial and forced fashionable trends imposed on him by the age.

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

‘’Architecture competitions are unique experiences for young and experienced professionals to trigger and revitalize their professional dynamics and to recognize themselves and even push their limits.”

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

A designer must convince herself/himself before trying to persuade the jury, the client, and others.
