Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been involved?
While studying, we have the opportunity to design at different scales, everything from design and architecture to urban scale. Due to this extensive programme, we are able to experience and learn all the design disciplines that architecture is based on.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
For us, architecture is a fusion of different art forms. It combines many disciplines and concentrates on the relationship between people and the environment. First and foremost, architecture is a creation of a specific space in relation to given surroundings. We strongly believe that architects in 21st century have a responsibility not only to the society but also to the natural habitat.
Why do you participate in architecture competitions?
We think that taking part in competitions is a very interesting experience that broadens our horizons. It provides us with an opportunity to work in a group setting and prepares us for our future careers. Participation in competitions enables us to present our design vision to a larger audience and compare it with the ideas of other participants.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?
Participation in each competition gives us the opportunity to face a variety of design problems and, regardless of the outcome, helps with the development of our skills.
