Design a sustainable food court structure for the heart of a classical music festival

We’d like to take the opportunity to introduce you to the 2nd prize winners of our "Monte D'Oiro Wine Hotel" competition – Igor Grippaldi and Andrea Vivera from Italy!
grippaldi|vivera is an architecture firm, founded by Sicilian architects Igor Grippaldi and Andrea Vivera and based in Sicily, Italy since 2021.
Our combined 15+ years of experience include projects in Milan, Sicily, Spain, Austria, France, and Panamà. As an architecture firm, we work on small- and large-scale architecture, renovation and restoration projects, interior design, and international competitions. We have specialized in country houses and retreat spaces where we bring nature into focus by creating modern connections with the natural environment.
Architecture is the expression of humanity; it defines the space of human interaction affecting psychology and perception. Architects have the opportunity to influence the quality of life for society. In the conflict between nature vs. nurture, architects can change the rules of the game for good or bad.
We believe there are many ways to answer our needs, taking into consideration that each individual has a different background and mindset. Architecture competitions provide democratic answers to the same questions, while also often defining and anticipating previously unseen needs.
Going out of our comfort zone allows us to expand beyond our limits, open our minds, and prepare us for the challenges ahead. It is with this spirit that entering architecture competitions helps us achieve the most during our professional career.
