Grzegorz Mączka and Marta Mączka from Poland
We are couple of architects based in Kraków. The scope of our activity includes the creation of local and international projects.
We are involved in projects of different scales. A priority of ours is to find the best answers for architectural questions. We took part in plenty of domestic and international competitions, e.g., The Art Gallery in Mertola, The Baltic Way Memorial Building in Riga, Expansion of The Art Gallery in Kraków, and Earth Energies New Zealand Cabin.
Architecture is a way to find the right frame for human activity. It helps to fulfil basic human needs, as well as higher needs: beauty, aesthetics, and harmony. The architect's goal is to find the best possible solutions using appropriate and well-founded ideas.
By participating in architecture competitions, we learn the methods and ways of finding architectural ideas. It`s always surprising to find many different solutions for one location.
Taking part in a competition, especially in an international one, allows you to get to know different points of view of other participants. It develops creativity and your own research. It is important to take each task seriously. Additionally, an awareness of possible awards motivates creative effort.
