Our project portfolio include; Kastrup Sea Bath, Hasle Harbour Bath, our award winning psychiatric facility in Aabenraa, Denmark, and Skellefteå Cultural House in Sweden, a 19-storey timber building.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
For nearly two decades, White has invested in establishing a unique, research-based organisation of highly qualified experts in the field of sustainable architecture and design. Our founder’s aim was to improve society through architecture, and his legacy lives on in our ambition to contribute towards the building of a sustainable world.
Why do you participate in architecture vision competitions?
White is interested in any platform where we can affect positive change through architecture. Architecture idea and vision competitions provide a unique opportunity to explore concepts between building and landscape in a more speculative context, and they can be a very effective way to allow younger architects and interns the chance to immediately impact the design process.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture vision competitions?
Architecture idea competitions may not be a solution to all design problems, but they are a fun and interesting way to participate in a broader, international discussion about architecture.
