What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
The firm believes that listening to the needs of clients and working through and ultimately distilling an exceptional design solution is the essence of the architectural process.
Equally as important, they believe that design needs to account for - and celebrate - the user experience; that the building acts as a backdrop for the experience and what transpires within and around the structure is equally as important as is how people interact within it.
Today the firm also specializes in assessing, rating and harvesting customer experience data. They develop and build web applications and databases to collect this information to allow clients to use it to improve their environments, strengthen their brand and create better customer experiences on a more consistent basis.
Why do you participate in architecture vision competitions?
The firm regularly participates in competitions to inspire their creative staff, foster collaboration, improve their design process, and celebrate their diversity and passion for design.
What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture vision competitions?
