The Architecture of Illusions Essay Competition was looking to hear from architecture and design enthusiasts around the world who wanted to express their thoughts and opinions on the role of illusions in architecture. Participants were asked, what is the impact of optical illusions in architecture and design and how do these illusions affect design, with winning essay submissions to be featured in an upcoming ARCHHIVE BOOKS print publication on architecture illusions.

With submissions received from all over the world, the selected winning essays were from Sean Moyano from the USA (first prize), Samuel Cabiron and Dimitri Pagnier from France (second prize) and Vojtěch Chalupa from the College of Business and Law in Prague, Czech Republic (third prize).
