Bee Breeders, in partnership with ARCHHIVE BOOKS, are calling for submissions for the latest in their affordable housing design competitions. The Toronto Affordable Housing Challenge sets its sights on Canada’s largest city, where demand far outweighs supply and locals are struggling to find homes they can afford.
The Toronto Housing Challenge is tasking participants to be as creative as possible in designing solutions to the city’s housing crisis; with no specific site or demographic in mind, architects and designers are encouraged to redefine how we think about affordable housing and the impact it can have on large cities like Toronto.
The Toronto Housing Challenge is open until April 22, 2021, with a prize fund of 6,000 €. Winning designs will also be included in the next edition of ARCHHIVE BOOKS’ Affordable Housing publication. Visit architecturecompetitions.com/torontochallenge/ for more information.
