Buildner is excited to announce the results of the second annual Architect’s Chair Competition, celebrating custom furniture design. This global contest invited architects and designers to create innovative chairs inspired by design icons such as Charles and Ray Eames and Marcel Breuer. As part of the competition's growth, Buildner is also releasing its first digital and print book showcasing standout designs from previous editions.

The jury, featuring renowned figures like Philippe Starck and Flora Lee, selected Vanessa Michaud and Alexis Giard from Canada for their "Brochette" chair, which combines traditional joinery with modern, eco-friendly design.

The second prize went to Robert Henry Parr-Young from Sweden for his Rattan Splice Chair, and Sara Katalin Kele from Hungary won third place with her Pontum project, inspired by Budapest's Elisabeth Bridge. Congratulations to all winners for their exceptional contributions to furniture design.
