Buildner is thrilled to unveil the exceptional results of the Sansusī Forest Food Court International Competition. In partnership with the renowned Sansusī festival, architects and designers worldwide were challenged to craft a sustainable food court structure for this extraordinary event.

First prize went to the project ‘Hanging Out’ by Daniil Chechin, Maria Levitskaya, Mariia Samahala, and Mykhailo Zhuk from Austria. Their project showcases a playful arrangement of shed-form structures, utilizing plywood panels and painted metal mesh. The jury praised the project's scalability, functionality, and cost-effectiveness, noting the use of locally-sourced materials and the dynamic integration of tree stumps as seating and tables.

Second prize went to ‘Re(treat)’ by Laura India Garinois and Liam Martin from the United States. This modular food court featured lightweight wooden frames and sliding windows offering flexibility for both vendors and festival-goers. Third prize went to ‘The Banquet’ by Ash McCarthy, Alette Avsnes, Selma Gulden, and Andrei Nemes from Denmark. Their concept revolves around simple pitched structures forming a semi-circular food court, creating a visually captivating ambiance.
