The sanctuary features a secluded, private, 2-bedroom cabin where guests can enjoy spectacular, awe-inspiring 360-degree views.

The Romantic Cabin for Two competition is the second in a series of architecture competitions in partnership with Earth Energies New Zealand. For this competition, Earth Energies New Zealand is looking to complement its existing cabin with the development of a second accommodation structure.
Earth Energies New Zealand is looking to complement its existing cabin with the development of a second accommodation structure that should provide a comfortable and relaxing escape for two guests where they can connect with nature, as well as with each other.
This smaller retreat for two should offer romantic, open plan luxury accommodation for two within the tranquil setting of the Earth Energies property. It should provide a comfortable and relaxing escape for two guests where they can connect with nature, as well as with each other, all while experiencing the holistic relaxation therapies offered at the retreat.
As Earth Energies New Zealand intends to construct the Romantic Cabin for Two, it is important that participants ensure their designs reflect the best green building practices so that the cabin can be constructed and operated without having a negative impact on the local environment.

Competition is open to all. No professional qualification is required. Design proposals can be developed individually or by teams (4 team members maximum). Correspondence with organizers must be conducted in English; All information submitted by participants must be in English
