NEMRUT KINGDOM revitalizes the legacy of King Nimrod, situated atop the majestic Nemrut Volcano. The design engages with its historic surroundings while making a strong statement of authority and ambition. Centered on a concept of verticality, it features tiers and platforms that rise towards the sky, creating a dramatic relationship between the built structure and the natural environment. The aim is to provide an immersive experience, blending grand aesthetics with spaces where the public can interact.

Verticality and Landscape Engagement

The design showcases ascending tiers that form a distinct hierarchy, symbolizing the intent to assert dominance over the landscape. This vertical projection serves as both a structural element and a visual representation of ambition, deeply rooted in history. Twisting forms echo the organic contours of the volcano, establishing a connection between human construction and the natural world.

Responsive Elements

Active lengths of canvas are incorporated into the design, enhancing the interaction with environmental forces. This feature allows the building to respond dynamically to wind, creating movement that engages visitors and reflects local weather conditions. The animation of the canvas introduces a dialogue between the solid structure and its fluid surroundings, enriching the overall architectural experience.

Public Program and Accessibility

The lower levels of NEMRUT KINGDOM include spaces designed for visitors, such as cafes and information centers. These elements contrast the grand scale of the tower with everyday experiences, making the site more accessible to the public. Integrating these functions fosters a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that the historical significance is shared and enjoyed by many people.

Panoramic Viewing Experience

Panoramic viewing platforms are strategically placed within the design, allowing visitors to take in the expansive landscape. These vantage points provide wide sightlines and elevate the experience of observing the area. As visitors ascend the structure, they encounter a range of perspectives, reinforcing the theme of authority and control associated with King Nimrod's legacy. The culmination of these viewpoints presents a thoughtful reflection of both the building and the surrounding natural environment, highlighting the interplay of human intention and landscape.
