Triangular Rest Stops Featuring Metal Framework and Zinc Facade

Project in-detail

The triangular form and zinc facade create a visually compelling structure that provides essential rest stops equipped with basic utilities, fostering a strong connection to the surrounding natural environment.
5 key facts about this project
01
Triangular geometry enhances structural efficiency and visual appeal.
02
Metal framework allows for quick assembly and durability.
03
Zinc facade provides weather resistance while minimizing maintenance.
04
Recognizable geometric codes improve user navigation and experience.
05
Integrated utilities support sustainability and comfort in natural settings.

The design centers on a triangular form that serves essential needs while respecting the surrounding natural environment. Located in an area that highlights ecological sensitivity, the structure aims to blend human habitation with the landscape. The concept focuses on creating an inviting and functional space, offering shelter, water, and electricity for its occupants. The goal is to foster a strong connection to nature while providing a comfortable living experience.

Design Concept

The minimum triangle emphasizes practicality by shaping spaces that promote comfort and familiarity. It includes covered areas that address the basic needs of users, allowing them to feel secure and at ease. The sleeping area presents a unique interior shape that diverges from typical designs, inviting a sense of curiosity and exploration. This innovative approach encourages occupants to engage more deeply with their surroundings.

User Experience

Recognizable geometric codes are integrated into the layout to enhance the user experience, especially in the rest stops meant for EUROVELO 6. Each component is designed with a purpose, enabling easy navigation and functionality. The design ensures that users can move through the space instinctively, fostering a supportive environment. Attention to detail allows for every element to work effectively, contributing to a cohesive whole.

Materiality

Material selection plays a critical role in the design. The project details a variety of elements such as metal frameworks and fireplaces, which provide both stability and warmth. Adaptable metal feet and mono block stove stacks enhance functionality, while insulation and ventilation systems ensure comfort in varying weather conditions. Aluminum window frames and a metal-based facade in zinc lend a modern touch and protect against the elements.

Visual Language

The soft lines throughout the design create a conversation with the landscape, balancing contemporary style with respect for nature. This integration allows the structure to coexist harmoniously in its setting. Each design detail contributes to a unified narrative that highlights the commitment to both user needs and environmental sensitivity, fostering a space that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
