Towering Gateway in Local Wood Amid Natural Green Spaces

Project in-detail

Standing 12 meters tall, the Gateway made of local wood invites visitors into a park that harmonizes community spaces with nature, anchored by a central tower that offers expansive views and diverse camping facilities.
5 key facts about this project
01
Gateway design integrates two distinct passageways for vehicles and pedestrians.
02
The Tower offers elevated viewpoints, enhancing visitor experience of the landscape.
03
Camping facilities are designed to promote communal gathering and interaction.
04
Local wood used throughout the project reinforces sustainability and regional identity.
05
In-between spaces create patios that foster social connections among users.

The setting of the park is defined by an approach that aims to create harmony between the surroundings and structures. The overall design concept revolves around the idea of nature, represented by the figure of a tree. This concept serves as a foundation for a variety of spaces that invite community interaction while also allowing for moments of individual contemplation. The thoughtfully designed areas cater to different user experiences, from park visitors to staff members and campers.

Gateway
The Gateway acts as the main entrance, consisting of two pathways—one for vehicles and another for pedestrians. It reaches a height of 12 meters, marking the transition to the park and signifying the start of an immersive experience with nature. This element aims to provide a welcoming entry point that encourages exploration and engagement.

Waiting Room and Staff Work Room
The Waiting Room is designed to hold up to 12 visitors, offering a comfortable environment while they wait for their tours. Next to it, the Staff Work Room accommodates up to 5 employees and includes a meeting room for necessary discussions. The placement of these spaces supports ease of access for both visitors and staff, promoting smooth operations within the park.

Tower and Outdoor Camping Service
The Tower provides elevated views of the landscape, allowing visitors to appreciate the natural surroundings from a different perspective. In the Outdoor Camping Service area, features like kitchen counters, seating, and dining tables encourage communal experiences among campers. This blend of practical use and connection to nature enhances the outdoor living experience in the park.

Materiality and Design Integration
Local wooden planks are utilized throughout the structures, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and drawing upon regional resources. This careful choice of materials supports the overall theme of nature while fostering a connection to the area. Every element, from the arrangement of clustered buildings to communal spaces, contributes to a narrative that emphasizes the importance of relationships and well-being in a natural setting.
