Terracotta Roofs and Local Stone Create a Harmonious Family Community in the Landscape

Project in-detail

Local stone and terracotta roofs define a clustered community that honors familial ties while serving as a sustainable guesthouse in Azure's Town.
5 key facts about this project
01
Local stone is used extensively for both structural and aesthetic elements, enhancing regional integration.
02
Terracotta roofs provide effective thermal regulation and echo traditional architectural styles in the area.
03
The guesthouse layout promotes community interaction while maintaining distinct private spaces for residents.
04
Phytopurification swimming pool incorporates natural filtration methods for sustainable water management.
05
Cross-laminated timber panels contribute to the building's energy efficiency and structural integrity.
The project "Tili Vini's Memory" is an architectural design endeavor that combines respect for cultural heritage with contemporary building practices. Situated in Azure's Town, the development serves as both a tribute to the Tili family and a communal living space. The layout features a cluster of interconnected buildings, encouraging social interaction among occupants while maintaining individual privacy. The integration of common areas and private residences provides functional versatility conducive to both community gatherings and quiet reflection.

One of the notable aspects of this project is the thoughtful arrangement of spaces that reflects a commitment to building a community. Each guest house is designed to foster a sense of belonging, with communal dining areas encouraging shared experiences. This carefully considered layout emphasizes usability while reinforcing the architectural philosophy of simplicity and connection to nature.

Use of Local Materials

Distinctive material choices set this project apart. Local stone is utilized extensively, enhancing the structure's connection to the regional landscape while demonstrating a commitment to sustainability. The use of wood for both structural elements and finishes accentuates the warmth of the interiors and harmonizes with external natural elements. Additionally, clay roof tiles provide aesthetic unity with historical architecture while enhancing energy efficiency.

The architectural design employs large windows in guest houses, allowing abundant natural light and framing views of the surrounding environment. This approach not only nourishes the interior ambiance but also strengthens ties to the landscape, reflecting the project’s ethos of living in harmony with nature.

Sustainability and Functionality

The project incorporates sustainable practices, such as a phytopurification swimming pool, which highlights the importance of ecological design principles. This feature not only addresses water management challenges but also contributes to the aesthetic and functional diversity of the property. Such innovations demonstrate an understanding of contemporary architectural expectations, balancing comfort and environmental responsibility.

The segmentation of spaces within the guest houses allows for flexibility in use, with distinct areas for lounging, cooking, and socializing. By addressing the needs of a diverse user group, the design maximizes functionality without compromising on comfort or aesthetic appeal.
