KREMM coffee shop is located in a lively urban area, designed to be both a place for enjoying coffee and a setting for social interaction. The main idea behind the design is "the good moments," reflecting the idea that sharing a cup of coffee can bring people together. The project addresses the challenge of social isolation in a world where digital communication often replaces face-to-face interaction.

Spatial Arrangement

The layout of KREMM is built to encourage movement and interaction among visitors. It integrates both indoor and outdoor areas, allowing people to flow comfortably between spaces. Various zones are created to cater to different experiences, whether visitors seek solitude or companionship. The arrangement maximizes sightlines, enabling staff and patrons to engage with one another, ultimately fostering a welcoming environment.

Material Usage

A key feature of the design is the use of tempered glass, which brings in natural light and creates transparency, creating a visual connection between inside and outside. The inclusion of a wooden pergola adds warmth, while metal capping introduces a contrasting texture. To promote sustainability, photovoltaic panels have been incorporated, reflecting a commitment to energy efficiency and modern practices.

Interior Design Elements

Inside, the color scheme focuses on calming blue shades paired with wooden finishes. This combination creates an inviting atmosphere. Fibre cement panels in black and white bring a contemporary touch to the space, while practical elements like deployable integrated furniture increase versatility. A backlit sign and microperforated sheets enhance functionality while ensuring that navigation remains clear for all visitors.

Connection to Environment

KREMM's design engages with its surroundings, encouraging passersby to step inside and experience the space. It offers a modern solution to the common feelings of isolation in daily life. Through careful consideration of user experience and design detail, the coffee shop effectively creates a place where people can come together, enjoy their coffee, and share moments in a warm and welcoming setting.
