The Reload Vinyl Lab project focuses on the revitalization of the Mango Vinyl Press building, located in a historically industrial setting. The aim is to change this landmark into a lively multifunctional center that integrates public and commercial spaces. The project adopts a phased plan, enhancing community engagement while honoring the historical nature of the existing structure.

Phase One: Regeneration of the Mango Vinyl Press

The first phase is centered on preserving the Mango Vinyl Press. This part of the design highlights the historical aspects of the building. It retains the industrial character while making room for modern uses that meet the needs of the community.

Phase Two: Organizing Open-Air Spaces

In the second phase, outdoor spaces are organized to attract visitors, especially during seasonal events. These areas are designed to be welcoming, encouraging social interactions among community members. This setup creates lively environments and enhances the overall experience of the site.

Phase Three: Development of Temporary Functions

The focus shifts in this phase to the nearby blocks, where temporary uses like artistic and music labs will be created. This approach promotes flexibility, allowing the space to adapt to the changing interests of the community. It keeps the area dynamic and engaged as the restoration moves forward.

Final Design Detail

As a result of this careful planning, the design leads to a space that honors the site's historical backdrop while introducing modern features. An important aspect is the rooftop area, planned to host social events and offer pleasant views of the newly revitalized landscape below.
