The Tili Wine project is situated in the beautiful Umbrian landscape and serves as a welcoming destination for wine lovers. The design emphasizes the relationship between the architecture and its natural surroundings. By exploring the contrasts between the rolling hills and the straight lines of the vineyards, the project creates a connection to the land while enhancing the guest experience.

The Canopy
The main building retains its historical charm, but its southern façade has been updated to allow more natural light. Large curtain walls span the first two floors, framing the expansive views of the Umbrian countryside. This design allows guests to enjoy a clear sightline while defining the boundaries of the property. The result is a setting that draws attention to the landscape and enhances the welcoming atmosphere.

Guesthouse Arrangement
Five guesthouses are positioned thoughtfully around a natural swimming pool. This layout fosters a sense of community among guests while offering private spaces to relax. Each guesthouse provides unique views of the surroundings, encouraging exploration and appreciation of the diverse natural features. The arrangement invites visitors to feel both part of a group and connected to the tranquility of the environment.

Landscaping and Plant Selection
Landscaping plays a vital role in connecting the architecture to the Umbrian terrain. Native plants have been selected to complement the area’s geography. Pine trees, cypress, oleander, olive trees, lavender, and rosemary create inviting outdoor spaces while enhancing the aesthetics of the project. The careful orientation of each guesthouse allows natural light to filter in, making the most of the plants’ beauty and creating dynamic spaces throughout the day.

Material Choices
Materials used in the project reflect a commitment to durability and harmony with the surroundings. A steel meshed pattern provides texture and openness, while travertine stone flooring adds a sturdy connection to the earth. The whitewash on the walls promotes brightness, allowing natural light to bounce throughout the interior spaces.

An inviting sunshade surrounds the main building, offering outdoor comfort while framing views of the idyllic Umbrian landscape. This design element not only provides shade but also reinforces the overall connection between the architecture and the natural beauty that surrounds it.
