The Kurgi Observation Tower exemplifies thoughtful architectural design that harmonizes with its natural surroundings. Located in an area characterized by scenic vistas, the structure serves the dual purpose of an observation point and a social gathering space, enhancing the visitor experience through strategic architectural elements.

The tower features a unique elongated form that emphasizes verticality while providing expansive views of the landscape. Its design consists of multiple levels, each serving specific functions that facilitate interaction with nature and encourage socialization among visitors. The integration of ramps and open terraces not only enhances accessibility but also promotes a fluid transition between different levels of the tower.

Architectural Form and Function

The overall design includes five distinct levels, each with its designated purpose. The ground floor provides a welcoming space that accommodates seating, allowing visitors to engage directly with the environment. The first floor, known as the Sunrise Terrace, is designed for quiet contemplation, making it an ideal spot to appreciate early morning light.

The upper levels, referred to as the Horse Watching and Sunset Terraces, are strategically designed to foster interaction among visitors. These spaces are equipped with seating arrangements directed towards the horizon, allowing users to enjoy both the scenery and each other’s company. The pinnacle of the tower, the fifth floor, is dedicated to expansive observation, offering sweeping views that enhance the experience of the surrounding landscape.

Innovative Design Features

One standout aspect of the Kurgi Observation Tower is its unique use of arches, which not only serve structural needs but also contribute to the visual language of the project. This design choice evokes historical architectural styles while being fully contextualized in a contemporary framework. The arches create dynamic spaces that encourage movement and exploration.

Additionally, the choice of materials underpins the project’s design philosophy. Wood, glass, and metal are utilized strategically to provide warmth, transparency, and durability. The use of glass in guardrails enhances visibility and reinforces the connection between the interior spaces and the outdoors. Each material serves a functional purpose while also contributing to the aesthetic coherence of the structure.

Sustainability is another inherent aspect of the design. The Kurgi Observation Tower promotes environmental stewardship by incorporating materials that seamlessly blend with the natural landscape. The architectural layout encourages visitors to engage with nature while minimizing the impact on the surrounding ecosystem.
