The project represents a contemporary approach to changing a traditional factory into a new green factory in the urban area of Adelaide. The Adelaide Creative Community Hub functions as a multi-purpose space that integrates various areas designed to promote community interaction, creativity, and sustainability. The concept focuses on reimagining industrial architecture, creating a space that balances work, leisure, and artistic activities.

Architectural Concept
The main idea behind the Adelaide Creative Community Hub is to repurpose traditional industrial buildings into vibrant community spaces. This approach emphasizes the need for functional areas that encourage collaboration and engagement among users. The design fosters a strong connection between people and their surroundings, promoting interaction through the thoughtful organization of spaces.

Spatial Arrangement
The hub is designed with distinct zones, including a public garden, café, performance spaces, and artist workshops. Each area serves a specific function while enhancing the overall experience for visitors. Outdoor elements, such as the garden and terrace, are vital to the design, offering opportunities for social interaction and relaxation. This layout highlights the importance of creating flexible spaces that accommodate various activities.

Vertical Organization
The building consists of five levels, ranging from a basement at -4.80 meters to a fifth floor at +15.90 meters. This vertical arrangement allows for different functions across the structure. Dedicated areas for workshops and isolated workspaces provide environments suited for artistic pursuits, while performance and presentation zones support cultural events. This organization makes the facility adaptable and enhances the usability of its spaces.

Design Details
While specific materials have not been detailed, there is a clear focus on sustainability and eco-friendly practices throughout the design. The building’s appearance reflects a modern style while respecting the cultural and historical context of Adelaide. Attention to natural light and spatial relationships creates an inviting atmosphere, enriching the user experience in various functional areas.
