Circular Spaces Enveloped by Nature in an Eco-Friendly Community Retreat

Project in-detail

Arranged in a circular layout that fosters artistic inspiration through the symbolic presence of trees, the facility serves as an eco-friendly community retreat designed to enhance creativity and reflection in a natural environment.
5 key facts about this project
01
Circular layout promotes community interaction and artistic inspiration.
02
The design incorporates trees symbolizing the nine Greek Muses of Art.
03
Each building features a single-storey structure with an attic for versatility.
04
The public zone is preserved to maintain its natural environment.
05
All structures are unified by a shared terrace and roof design.

"Inside the Poet's Mind" is set on a coastal plain, designed to connect with its natural surroundings. The facility provides a space for creativity, encouraging artistic expression and reflection. The overall design emphasizes a strong relationship between the environment and the built structures, creating a calming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.

Design Concept

The concept centers around blending with the landscape while establishing a distinct identity. Buildings are arranged in a circular layout with small gaps between them, forming a central yard. This arrangement not only promotes social interaction but also offers a tranquil area for solitude. Enhanced by trees that symbolize the nine Greek Muses of Art, the yard fosters inspiration, reinforcing the project's focus on creativity.

Spatial Organization

Three main areas are designated within the design: the entry zone, the yard, and the public zone. The public zone is intentionally left undisturbed to maintain its natural state, boosting ecological value. This approach allows those using the facility to remain connected to the landscape, thereby enriching their overall experience.

Structural Composition

Structures are placed on a unified platform known as the terrace, topped with a single roof that supports a cohesive appearance. Each building is a single-storey design with an attic, allowing for functional internal variations while presenting a uniform external look. This strategy encourages diversity among the buildings while ensuring that they visually complement one another.

Material and Sustainability

Although specific materials are not listed, the design focuses on using natural and eco-friendly options alongside energy-efficient technologies. This emphasis on sustainability reflects a commitment to reducing environmental impact while supporting the vision of the project.

The circular layout of the buildings, coupled with the symbolic presence of the Muses, creates a thoughtfully designed environment that invites creative exploration within a space devoted to the arts.
