The "Gathering of Stones" project is an architectural endeavor situated in a pastoral landscape in Latvia, designed as a creative hub that encourages social interaction and community engagement. The ensemble consists of multiple interconnected structures, each serving a unique function while contributing to the overall theme of gathering. The architectural layout reflects a balance between private and communal spaces, promoting collaboration among artists and creatives within a cohesive environment.

This project encapsulates the essence of gathering, not only in its physical form but also in its social intent. The spaces are strategically designed to foster connections among users, creating an atmosphere conducive to artistic expression and interaction. The materials employed include local spruce wood, metallic cladding, and expansive glass panels, all of which serve both functional and aesthetic purposes.

Unique Design Approaches
The architecture of the "Gathering of Stones" incorporates several distinctive design elements. The rooflines exhibit a variety of pitches and angles, challenging traditional architectural forms while facilitating practical elements such as rainwater management. This innovative approach ensures not only functionality but also aesthetic diversity across the structures.

The integration of natural materials connects the huts to the site context, reinforcing ties to local building traditions. Furthermore, the use of large glass surfaces maximizes natural light and emphasizes the relationship between indoor and outdoor environments, creating a seamless transition for occupants.

Functionality and Spatial Organization
Each structure within the project is purposefully designed to accommodate different functions, such as creative workspaces and communal meeting areas. Pathways linking the huts encourage movement and exploration, enhancing user experience. Spaces for artists to engage in their craft are complemented by observation points that invite occupants to appreciate the surrounding landscapes.

This thoughtful spatial organization allows for flexible use while maintaining a sense of community cohesion. The architecture not only meets functional requirements but also serves as a medium for socialization and artistic collaboration.
