The Riga International Exhibition Centre functions as a multifunctional space designed to host a variety of events including exhibitions and conferences. Located in the heart of Riga, Latvia, the design emphasizes openness and practicality, aiming to create an inviting environment. The concept focuses on adaptable spaces that meet diverse needs, ensuring a pleasant experience for visitors.

THE BILLBOARD

A central feature of the design is "The Billboard," an LED billboard garage positioned above the main entrance. This eye-catching element serves as both a marketing tool and a visual landmark. It displays information about upcoming exhibitions and can be seen from the sky and city streets, highlighting the centre's presence in the urban landscape.

ENTRANCE AREA

The entrance area is spacious, designed to manage visitor traffic effectively. It allows for queues to form indoors, contributing to a more organized arrival experience. The layout includes flexible counters that can be adjusted according to the expected number of guests, which enhances the overall practicality of the space.

COURTYARDS

Two green courtyards are incorporated into the design, providing areas for rest and informal meetings. One courtyard is situated within the office zone, while the other is connected to the exhibition area. These outdoor spaces create a refreshing contrast to the busy exhibition halls, allowing visitors to step outside and enjoy a moment of calm.

AUDITORIUM

The auditorium has been designed for flexibility, capable of hosting events of varying sizes. With removable seats and walls, it can be reconfigured to suit small gatherings or larger assemblies. This adaptability reflects the overall goal of the design to accommodate a wide range of activities, making the space more functional.

Large windows throughout the design invite natural light, enhancing the environments created within the exhibition centre. Visitors can enjoy views of the courtyards and connect with the outside world, making the entire experience more enjoyable.
