Buildner presents the second edition of The Architect’s Stair—an architecture ideas competition that invites participants to explore the stair as a powerful medium of architectural expression. Freed from functional constraints, this competition challenges designers to reimagine the stair not as a technical element, but as a conceptual statement. Whether monumental or minimal, abstract or site-specific, the stair becomes a tool for communicating spatial identity, narrative, and intention.
The competition is open to architects, designers, students, and creatives worldwide. A total prize fund of €7,000 will be awarded to the best proposals, including 1st Prize (€3,500), 2nd Prize (€1,500), 3rd Prize (€1,000), and six honorable mentions. The final registration deadline is July 24, with submissions due by September 15, 2025. Winners will be announced on October 28, 2025, and featured across Buildner’s global media network, reaching millions of architecture and design professionals.
