What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Since works of art are personal but those of architecture are social, one of the fundamentals of architectural space is to create a “wrapping space," a space to be experienced within. Accordingly, architects should have the ability to provide a sensational space that extends beyond the visual experience (exterior and design), and should constantly consider and explore the nature and starting point of architecture.

Why do you participate in architecture vision competitions?

My interest in changes of library by the development of information and communication technology has brought my attention to this competition. The value that paper books have over e-books is that information can become special to those who come across just by chance, although it may be unnecessary to those who know what information they want. I participated in this competition because the topic seemed suitable to my interests. The competition’s request for small, flexible structure, matched my interests of creating accidental space that could cause occasional encounters and space.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture vision competitions?

I would like to advise the following saying, 'Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)'
